Volunteers are vital at the Beatrice Humane Society. We rely on the assistance of caring and hard-working volunteers in all of our programs throughout the year. Volunteers make a huge difference in the lives of our pets and our staff.

 

Applicants will be asked to attend an orientation session and interview with the volunteer coordinator.

 

Voluteers must be at least 12 years old. Children age 12-15 must be accompanied by an adult at the orientation and while working at the shelter. Volunteers age 16 and over are allowed to work without an adult. No prior experience is necessary for most positions, but enthusiasm for animals and animal welfare, a flexible nature and the ability to work as part of a team are very helpful. All volunteers will receive necessary training.
